Are you a visual artist planning to compete for the Hendrik de Vries Stipend? Would you like to know more about this stipend and what to expect?

Then come to the expert meeting Visual Arts that the municipality of Groningen is organizing at Kunstpunt Groningen, on Wednesday 7 September from 4.30 pm.

There are presentations from experts on how to write and submit a work plan. During the meeting there is an opportunity to ask all your questions to complete your application. We ask you to register in advance. You can register until September 7, 12:00 noon.

About the Hendrik de Vries Stipend
Every year, the municipality of Groningen makes two Hendrik de Vries Stipends available for young, talented Groningen artists and artists’ collectives. Every year a stipend is awarded for literature and visual arts.

Until September 12, young artists and writers can submit their plans for the Hendrik de Vries Stipend 2022. The conditions for registration are that candidates live and/or work in the municipality of Groningen, are younger than 36 years and have a professional portfolio.

The winners of this incentive prize will each receive a grant of €6,000 with which they can realize their submitted plans. For the literary stipend, €2,500 of this amount will be spent on a professional book publication.

Kunstpunt Groningen (voorheen CBK) is hét knooppunt voor beeldende kunst. Wij lenen kunstwerken uit, begeleiden kunstopdrachten in de openbare ruimte en bij bedrijven, ontwikkelen educatieprojecten voor scholen en organiseren tentoonstellingen en activiteiten.
