Erica Scheper : Patterns in Repeat
About this activity.
Erica Scheper puts the spotlight on matters we pass by in our daily life but then represented in a way that you will stand still. Daily objects like a caravan, a socket, IKEA-furniture, postcards and a pack of butter: they raise questions about (good) taste, authenticity, consumer society and the choices we make.
Scheper likes to work in series; at this moment she is making a series of animal figures of origami. She is touched by the simplicity and both the complexity of the figures and the many possibilities a sheet of paper gives.
As a painter she thinks it is a great subject: full of form, colour and contrast. On top of that origami paper has the most fantastic patterns and patterns are a returning constant in Erica's artworks.
Erica Scheper will be giving tours of her exhibition on December 21หขแต and January 11แตสฐ at 3:00 p.m.

Pictura.
