'Erica Scheper makes paintings and drawings with a special atmosphere. Her technique is rather classic, she highly appreciates the skill, but she is not interested in painting as realistic as genre painters. Wheregenre painters aim for a lifelike reproduction of reality, Scheper is interested in that reality itself. Especially in the part we would like to ignore.'

I have a special choice of subjects; objects out of daily life, such as caravans, light switches, electric points and furniture from IKEA. My goal is to make work that attracts by its look and sticks with you because it has changed your points of view.
