Art Weekend & Open House at Overcinge Estate, Havelte

Overcinge Estate is a beautiful, historic event venue. Following a five-year closure, the new owners—Nils Beers, Ruwan Berculo and Rogier Staal—are offering a glimpse into this special place in Havelte during this weekend.

Jeanine de Boer and Renate Coenraad are organising a unique Art Weekend during the open house. From nearly 40 applications, they selected 14 contemporary artists who will present their work in various rooms of the mansion. Some of them draw inspiration from the estate and will create new work on site. The artists themselves will be present from 11 am to 5 pm on these days.

Jeanine and Renate intend to organise pop-up art venues for (young) artists from the north, amongst others, at special locations in Drenthe. The Overcinge Art Weekend marks the start of this initiative.
