Danne Bouman explores the tension between desire and distance in her paintings. She investigates how humans seek connection while also confronting loneliness. Her work moves between body and landscape, between openness and concealment. She graduated from Academy Minerva in 2025.

Together with Sanne Boswijk, Danne presents her work in the duo exhibition BEELDRIJM. The exhibition is on view from 20 November to 8 January at the Kunstuitleen, Kunstpunt Groningen. We visited Danne in her studio.
