About project 'Lucht'

“In my artistic practice, an ideal place refers to the attachment, memory and perception to a place. Through wandering and searching in this place, it seems can be redefined and be reconstructed in imagination. My plan starts from memory and perception of place, investigates how culture and politics impact on cognition of lands and places; through art, redefining and reimagining places, in order to construct a place in consciousness where based on geography but beyond reality, where kneads with memory, emotion and perception; meanwhile reacts on the limitation of imagining places caused by politics, society and contemporary method of cartography.”

The corona measures have hit the art sector enormously. Exhibitions and art grants have been canceled or postponed. It is an uncertain time for many artists. With the Lucht project, Kunstpunt Groningen wants to support artists and designers from the municipality of Groningen. 87 Groningen artists have received a stipend with which they have created new work, including Jui-Tsz Shiu. With a billboard exhibition from September 27 to October 17, we present all artists spread throughout the city of Groningen. View the work of the other artists here.
