About Ramses van Bragt
Ramses van Bragt (Roermond, 1973) studied Art History (University of Amsterdam, 2001). Since 2007, he has been an archivist at the RKD (Netherlands Institute for Art History), leading the conservation and digitization projects Jan Toorop (2008), Jan Mankes (2008), and Art Trade Archives (2017).
Since 2018, he has been the primary point of contact for acquisitions (archives, library, and visual documentation) as Acquisitions Process Coordinator. In this capacity, he coordinated the acquisitions of, among others, the archives of Herman de Vries (2019), Maryan Ainsworth (New York, 2020), Armando (2021), Erwin de Vries (Suriname, 2022), the archive of the Visual Arts Commissions Practice Bureau/Foundation for Art in Public Space (SKOR), and the archive of Jan Henderikse (New York).
He currently serves on the committee of the Inherited Heritage Platform of the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands (RCE), the board of the Dutch Art History Libraries Consultation (OKBN), and the Archives Selection List working group of the Museum Archives Taskforce.
About Rémon van Gemeren
Rémon van Gemeren (born 1979) has written books on Louis Couperus, Jan Eijkelboom, Joost Zwagerman, Jan Mankes, Chr.J. van Geel, and Carel Willink. From 2006 to 2019, Rémon was editor of Arabesken, the literary magazine dedicated to Louis Couperus. He has published dozens of articles in it (see the database at www.louiscouperus.nl). Rémon was born and raised in Boskoop, and subsequently lived in Utrecht and The Hague. He currently lives in Landsmeer with his wife, daughter, and two sons.
About Veldwerk
