Temporary art in public spaces
In 2015, artists Martin & Inge Riebeek settled in the Selwerd district, thanks to a report in the media that called the Selwerd resident the most unhappy of all Groningen residents. The artists went to investigate. Who lives in Selwerd, how do they live and what role does their environment play in this? How is their well-being and to what extent does it differ from people in other places in the world? The result, the film Home = here, has become a personal portrait of Selwerd and its inhabitants, in an international perspective. The film Home = here was commissioned by the CBK in collaboration with Wijkbedrijf Selwerd. Several local residents have contributed to this project. The film lasts about 35 minutes and is in Dutch.
