I was born in Dokkum in 1975 and graduated from the Minerva Academy in 2000, majoring in Fine Art. Since then, I have been working as an independent artist and designer.

From my studio Tessera, over the past 10 years I have focused entirely on creating mosaics, using a wide range of recycled printed materials and abstract panels that I paint myself. I punch these materials into small tiles and use them to construct new autonomous works.

Through Studio Volop, I am involved in the design and development of spatial works for public spaces.
