Flos Pol lives and works in Kloosterburen. She is fascinated by shapes and structures that she encounters in nature. Nature and the garden are her direct sources of inspiration. The cycles of growth, blossoming and decline play an important role. The work is diverse but also like-minded, there is a coherence between the different works, just like nature. In addition to painting and work on paper, Pol makes spatial work, textile work forms and installations. She works with natural and synthetic materials. Pol wants to express the beauty, simplicity of nature and the need to consciously deal with our vulnerable living environment with her work. 

From 1993-1996 figure drawing/painting lessons at the University of the Arts in Kampen    Independent autonomous artist from 2000, exhibitions in galleries, museums and art events since 1999.
