A retrospective exhibition of my work can be visited at KEIK, Boterdiep 63 in Groningen until March 28, 2026.

"What color is the wind?" This sentence reflects my desire to depict what one cannot perceive.

After graduating from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, specializing in drawing and painting, I worked for twenty years in theater as a set- and costume designer. After this period, I began creating autonomous work in my studio in Het Paleis in Groningen. Painting has been replaced by the textile and tactile world of various yarns, which I knit or crochet into fabrics. Color, structure, and form are the key elements. I use these to create oval-shaped wall objects. The image speaks its own language. I work in series so that a new mental space can always arise within my "own work." I am currently working on the LittleThings series, small woven wall objects.
