Architecture has been and remains a constant in my work, whether it's the Italian architects Borromini and Palladio or the porticoes of Bologna. My driving force is the search for visual solutions to those aspects that fascinate me. The result is graphic, tranquil, with few colors, and reasonably organized but not "neat," images that contain "air" and "space." For me, the series of pine trees is connected to the city of Rome, where they are iconic in the cityscape, but are threatened with extinction for various reasons.
