About this artwork.

In connection with the security of the porticos on the Poortersplein, Oving Architects was commissioned by the Nijestee housing corporation to design six gates. In order to not make the entrance to the residences, which looks rather gloomy, too unfriendly, metal designer Ron Caspers was commissioned to decorate these gates. His design was inspired by the four natural elements of water, fire, air and earth.
