If you don’t roll, you’ll never rock

Klaas Lageweg

About this artwork.

Artist Klaas Lageweg has painted the wall of a house on the corner of Ypenmolendrift with a mural of a large trolley bus that used to travel through the city of Groningen. In black and white, because it is a historical image. The trolley last ran in 1965, he tells city blog Sikkom. At that time, the buses replaced the trams. Read on Sikkom (in Dutch) the full story behind the mural and which beautiful details are incorporated in it.

Other street art from Lageweg can be found at the police station on the Rademarkt, the entrance to the parking garage on the Korreweg and in his own street in the Oosterpoort.
