About this artwork.
Boundary consists of two triangular parts. In this the artist created two semi-circular cut-outs at eye level. The two parts are placed in such a way that a vertical open space is created in between. This offers a view in a westerly direction over the descending Hondsrug and the meadows. The artwork has been placed on the border of the former municipalities of Groningen and Haren, at the intersection of Verlengde Hereweg and Vestdijklaan, Rijksstraatweg, Esserweg.
About the assignment.
Herman Bartelds made the sculpture in 1988, commissioned by the football club Be Quick to underline its centenary in 1987.
