Workshop: Creating a mobile
About this activity.
In this one-day workshop by Rob van der Hoeven at VRIJDAG, you’ll work with various types of materials to create your own mobile!
Most snail shells follow the golden ratio, making them perfectly harmonious. But what exactly is the golden ratio? And why is it so appealing?
In this workshop, you’ll create a mobile, an object where balance and equilibrium play a significant role. Objects can rotate around each other, touch, and move on, setting off on their own paths. And who knows… maybe you’ll manage to incorporate the golden ratio.
We’ll work with various (recycled) materials, including wood, wire, and cardboard. All materials are included, but if you have small objects like shells, buttons, or snail shells that you’d like to incorporate, feel free to bring them along!
This workshop is suitable for beginners.
