About this activity.

Do you want to discover what is possible with existing garments, materials and accessories? Mix and match and also learn something? Then come and join this short, one-day sewing workshop at VRIJDAG!

We are going to do out-of-the-box research into materials, combinations and/or patterns. And you will work with clothing and accessories that you have brought in yourself. From all the materials we brought, we put together our 'own' cycle for a day, which we will use as a pantry and from which we will go shopping!

Sparring, thinking, trying and testing together is very important in this workshop. But in the end you do make your own piece of work. And that can be anything! From an original carrier bag to a work of art with a statement. In the meantime, Amber can tell you everything about sustainable fashion, recycling techniques and materials and specific techniques, such as zero-waste sewing (sewing without residual waste).


In addition to technical information, much attention is paid to experimenting, brainstorming, designing, shaping, learning to develop ideas and knowledge of materials. We will work with the sewing machine, serger, tearing and cutting, working on the doll and more. And everyone can participate, because the workshop is suitable for beginners and advanced.
