About this activity.

Wondering how you can make paint with pigment and an egg as a binder? Then join this short, one-day workshop at VRIJDAG.

Egg tempera is a matt paint that has a soft appearance, dries quickly and is waterproof. The material is accessible but idiosyncratic and occasionally provides wonderful surprises.

In this workshop you will first learn something about different pigments and then get to work with them yourself. You make your own paint and then experiment with it. By painting various surfaces and brushstrokes you quickly see what can and cannot be done with it, how this paint and color behaves.

In addition to theory, mixing and experimentation, you will also get started with a small fantasy landscape on panel this day. The workshop includes the necessary materials and 1 pre-treated panel.
