How do you translate a feeling or thought into a drawing in a diary? Join us and surprise yourself by the things that appear in this short, one-day workshop at VRIJDAG!

Drawing is perhaps the most direct way to express yourself in images. With a few simple lines you can express a feeling, for which you might need ten sentences in a written text. That's why drawing is a great way to keep a diary where you can express how you feel in a simple and personal way.

For workshop teacher Jelte van Lente, drawing in a diary has been an important habit since his teenage years. It is a way for him to give free rein to thoughts and feelings and often this leads to the first sketches for artworks and videos.

During the workshop you will try out different ways to go from a feeling or a thought to a drawing, and thus search in a playful way for a way to express yourself that suits you. Join us and surprise yourself by the things that appear!
