Wintersalon at Pictura
About this activity.
The winter is cold, grey and wet, but not at Pictura. From the 28th January mostly northern fine artists present their artwork at Pictura, during the various great Wintersalon.
The exhibiton committee of Pictura has made a selection from the works of more than a 150 artists that had been registered for the Wintersalon exhibition.
From the participating artist one work or more works of art can be seen in all the rooms of our historical building at the corner of Martinikerkhof. The works of art are figurative or abstract.
The exhibition shows paintings, graphics, objects and sculptures.

Pictura.
Het Kunstlievend Genootschap Pictura in Groningen werd opgericht in 1832 met als doel: 'de beeldende kunst en de nijverheidskunst in de ruimste zin van het woord aan te moedigen en te bevorderen.' Pictura is gehuisvest in een mooi, monumentaal pand aan het Martinikerkhof in Groningen. In de sfeervolle zalen exposeren professionele kunstenaars van uiteenlopende richtingen en disciplines, maar de hoofdmoot is figuratief.
