Experience the winter solstice!
Which physical phenomena influence the experience of the landscape and contribute to an emotional experience?
To gain a better understanding of Grasland Ezinge, Wim Warrink conducted numerous experiments with space, time, distance, and the elements of air, water, and earth. Using his homemade (measuring) instruments, light is captured, bent, and refracted, and time is intercepted on this shortest day of the year.
Participate to create these phenomena together and experience their mystery. Tip: wear warm clothing and rubber boots.

4:15 PM: Depart from Groningen Central Station, pick-up parking lot on the right. Klaas will be there with the 9-person van. Bring your public transport card (for the return trip via Winsum station).
5:00 PM: Arrival in Ezinge, spectacle, soup, and introduction.
7:30 PM: Departure by bus from Ezinge to Winsum.
7:57 PM: Arriva train departs from Winsum to Groningen Central Station.

6:21 PM: Arriva train from Groningen to Winsum, arriving at 6:37 PM.
6:40 PM: Klaas and his bus will pick you up at the front of Winsum station, departing for Ezinge.
7:00 PM: Arrival in Ezinge.
9:00 PM: Return trip by bus to Groningen Central Station.
About: WIM WARRINK (1993) “An investigative attitude is a personal quality that can be shaped. Logic and the laws of science fascinate me. They form the starting point for my ideas and ensure that I gain a grip on the world and on my personal projects. I tend to approach scientific and philosophical questions in my own way. In doing so, I don't search for the ultimate answer as a philosopher or researcher would, but I make these themes tangible for myself and others. Because of this, posing 'essential' questions is a starting point for me, and the authentic search for an answer can be the artwork itself... Wim Warrink graduated cum laude from the Minerva Academy, Groningen, in 2015.
SIGN.
SIGN is een levendige en experimentele projectruimte voor actuele interdisciplinaire kunst op nationaal niveau. Zij biedt jonge kunstenaars een podium voor verdere profilering, ontwikkeling en intensivering van hun kunstenaarschap. Daarbij wordt nieuw werk geïnitieerd in bijzondere contexten en wordt de nodige reflectie gegeven. Presentaties zijn er in SIGN, op allerlei locaties, en in openbare ruimte met een variatie aan omstandigheden, invalshoeken, disciplines.
SIGN wordt ondersteund door Mondriaan Fonds Kunstpodium Basis 2025-2028 en door de Gemeente Groningen voor dezelfde periode.
