About this activity.
During Wildvang+, all nominees of the Hendrik de Vries Stipend 2021 will be put in the spotlight in a surprising way by two inspiring guest speakers: Maria Barnas, writer, poet and visual artist, will shine her light on the literary (Ivo Smit and Maartje Terpstra) and Leo Delfgaauw, teacher of modern and contemporary art at the University of Groningen, about the artists (Trudy Oosterhuis, Marnix Sixma, Davey Smand, Jessie Tam en Leonard Witte).
Joost Oomen then briefly puts each nominee to the test: how are the artists and literary figures doing? What has corona done to their artistry? What are they up to?
In between, the music by DJ act Swoolish will take you through the afternoon, and artist Margriet van Weenen will tell you what it was like to help the nominees to present their work as best as possible for their exhibition (which was unfortunately only shown briefly due to the corona measures). After the presentations and interviews, an answer to the pressing question: who will win the Audience Award of the Hendrik de Vries Stipend 2021?
