Marina Sulima, Oliehuiden / Oil Skins and music and text for the performance Droog zullen we zinken , for the exhibition Into Nature: Haunted by Waters , 2026.

As part of the international exhibition Into Nature: Haunted by Waters (on view until October 25), Marina Sulima (1996, Moldova, lives and works in Groningen) is exhibiting new work at the Woldzigt oil and grain mill in Roderwolde. Together with conductor Japke Hartog, she also developed a musical piece inspired by the rhythmic sounds the mill makes while pressing oil and by the melodies of work songs sung during spinning and weaving. Accompanying the music is a text composed of historical writings, including *De dragen encyclopedie van de domheid *; *Drente van 't Verleden tot het Heden*; and *Rowol toen der tied: van kerspel naar buiten doorp *.

Would you like to sing along? Then you can sign up for the workshop and the performance via intern@intonature.net . If you only want to come and listen, it is not necessary to sign up.
