Pop-up installation ‘Con-temporary Studio Space’ – Martina Dal Brollo
About this activity.
Friday 2 September 20.30 - 22.30 PM
Saturday 3 September 20.30 - 22.30 PM
Which stories are housed in the rivers and canals on the outskirts of Groningen (city)? What future does our municipal waste give away? With these questions in mind, Martina Dal Brollo started Con-temporary Studio Space, an art project that hopes to change our view of waste material.
Together with artist (and sister) Michela, she walked along the Reitdiep. They opted for a sustainable way of traveling: cycling. One bicycle was also equipped with a trailer, which served as a mobile studio. Along the way, they collected stories, waste and data that form the basis for the installation in the Tschumi Pavilion, where their journey comes to an end. The bicycles they took on the road are part of the installation and are used to generate energy for a film projector. Take a seat on one of the bicycles in the Tschumi Pavilion and the story of the journey along the Reitdiep unfolds.
Pop-up installation Con-temporary Studio Space can be visited as a pop-up exhibition on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 September from 8.30 pm - 10.30 pm in the Tschumi Pavilion on Hereplein. Both Martina as Michela Dal Brollo will be present.
