Paradys - (free) art walk
About this activity.
Until August 24, the heart of Leeuwarden and various other locations in Fryslân will be transformed into a stage for provocative art from both the Netherlands and abroad during Paradys. Under the theme "grûn" (Frisian for "ground"), renowned artists from Fryslân and around the world explore our relationship with the earth, our history, and the landscape around us.
Whether you're a seasoned art lover or a curious wanderer eager to see the city and province from a new perspective — you are welcome! Discover the stories behind the artworks, uncover hidden places yn ‘e stêd en dêr bûten (in the city and beyond), and marvel at the world beneath your feet.
Starting Point
The exhibition is free to visit. In Leeuwarden, there's a walking route past the artworks (about 3 km), and you can also view works in Beetsterzwaag, Mirns, and on the island of Vlieland.
Starting in Leeuwarden? Pick up a map at the information desk in Bouwurk, located beneath the Oldehove. From there, the walking route through Leeuwarden begins.
