Ours for tomorrow

Museum Landgoed Fraeylemaborg
27 September 2025 to 1 March 2026

About this activity.

Photographic portrait of Slochteren, Central Groningen. Residents of Slochteren told photographers from Noorderlicht about life in the village, their own experiences, and their vision for the future. This exhibition presents the result of this collaboration. These are personal stories, yet they also touch on a crucial question underlying these visual narratives: how can Groningen change and still remain itself?

"From Us, for Tomorrow" can be seen at the Fraeylemaborg Estate, which has been part of Slochteren for seven centuries. While the borg focuses on the experiences and expectations of the past, this exhibition offers a glimpse of Slochteren today and the possibilities of the future.

Photographers: Marieke Kijk in de Vegte, Gea Koopman, Sebastiaan Rodenhuis, Sabina Theijs, David Vroom
