'Ik bedoel een stoel' (I mean a chair)
This month’s Open Studio Sunday is all about handmade artist’s books: an art form that treats the book itself as an artistic concept. These books are handmade and often far from commercial.
During this upcoming open studio, we will create a special book together with our visitors called 'Ik bedoel een stoel'.
Everyone is welcome to join in: children, artists, professionals, amateurs, grandparents and neighbours. No experience is needed and perfectionism is strictly forbidden!
The assignment is simple: draw or paint a chair without looking at the paper. The unexpected lines, strange shapes and wonderful “mistakes” are precisely what we're looking for!
No registration is necessary; just drop in. For a €5 contribution, you can take part and have a place in the book. All the artworks will be included in the book, which will be printed and bound later. The finished book will be available for purchase at the studio and online.

Here you’ll find all the lovely products from Hot Paperwork, our sustainable stationery label. We turn leftover paper into beautiful stationery, including notebooks, sketchbooks, wrapping paper and all kinds of little gifts.
Everything is lovingly made by hand in our screenprinting studio.
