October is Children's Month: come and choose a work of art for free in your room!
About this activity.
In the month of October, children in Groningen can visit various museums, heritage institutions and other cultural activities for free. This allows them to get acquainted with art, culture and heritage in an accessible way. Kunstpunt is also participating in this campaign for the first time this year, which was set up by heritage partners.
The collection of the art library has a large number of works that are very suitable for the children's room. For example, do you have an empty space above your bed? Would you like to hang something beautiful there? Then come along with your parents, guardians, grandparents, aunt, uncle, etc. on 1 October to select a real work of art under the guidance of an art teacher. This work can then hang on your wall for free for a month. On Saturday 29 October you can return the work between 12 and 5 pm.
To participate, you can book a free ticket for one of the following time blocks.
There is room for 10 children (+ supervisors) per block. To ensure that the children are assured of a place, it is necessary that a ticket is booked for them. This is possible via our webshop. (NB: the supervisors do not need to book a ticket, they can just come along.)
