About this activity.

Artist Hans Sas has turned 80. And who's birthday, treats. He has donated no fewer than 30 photos from his oeuvre to Kunstpunt Groningen. You can now see a selection in his presentation Noord Neder Land. Hans mainly shows landscape photos for which he set out in the two Northern provinces. Agricultural landscapes of the Hogeland, the Dollardpolders and the salt marshes and the Lauwersmeer in Groningen pass by. And anyone who is known in Friesland may recognize the harbor of Laaxum and images of the Wadden coast at Holwerd, Wierum and Paesens-Moddergat. Do you also want an original Hans Sas on the wall at home? All works can be borrowed or purchased in the Kunstuitleen of Kunstpunt Groningen.

In addition to the presentation of Hans's own work, you will also see The choice of Hans Sas in Noord Neder Land. Hans chose his favorite photos, drawings and graphics from more than 3,500 works from Kunstpunt's Kunstuitleen. This presentation shows a clear color palette: "What strikes me when reviewing my selection is that I see sober colors in the photos and also in the graphics and drawings almost everything is black and white," says Hans Sas.

Noord Neder Land can be seen at Kunstpunt Groningen until 17 July.
