In the Microdraft diorama, the artist combines natural phenomena in the tradition of landscape art with an idiosyncratic, subversive sense of humor. The microclimate she has created works as a metaphor in which the weather conditions represent moods and emotions. All of this looks like a drift and in a continuous state of motion.

About the artist
The work of Paraskevi Frasiola (Greece, 1979) originates from the conflict between artistic action and the dread of exposure: it is the moment in the artist's life when she makes herself visible and vulnerable. But what happens when all of the above is essential? What form seeks attention while being possessed by nervousness?

To answer these questions, Frasiola creates autobiographical visual metaphors using drawings, ceramics and animations. Her artworks describe a state of mind of a caustic and relentless mood of self-deprecation. Landscapes work as a metaphor, a theatrical stage where Frasiola directs a scene. It could be a familiar place, or something she sees on the internet. In all her work, the feeling of mirth is a way of putting her own negative tendencies into perspective or reducing them. Or as Frasiola puts it herself: “I think the real purpose of my work is to entertain me.”

The window exhibition can be seen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from June 12 to August 15.
