A practical and inspiring masterclass in which you will learn about finance, bookkeeping, strategy, taxes, and building a sustainable professional practice. With clear explanations and directly applicable tools, you will work step by step on establishing a solid business foundation. This will help you gain a better overview, make stronger decisions, and operate with greater confidence.
There will be plenty of room for your questions during the session. You can also submit a specific case in advance, so you receive advice tailored to your situation.
Zwaan Ipema is co-founder and business director of NP3 and also works as an independent entrepreneur, Zii. Zwaan supports and advises artists and institutions in professionalising their practice and also teaches at art academies, including Academie Minerva and Frank Mohr Institute Groningen, and Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht HKU.
Sustaining a Professional Practice is part of the series of practical Noordenaars masterclasses And now? Artistry after the academy and is made possible financially by the Mondriaan Fund, Pictoright Fund and We the North.
Noordenaars is a network of visual arts venues, development institutions and production houses in Drenthe, Groningen and Friesland. Together, they organise the Artist in Space talent programme and activities for visual artists to meet each other and art venues in the North and share knowledge.
