Young Talent

Forma Aktua
21 June 2023 to 16 July 2023

About this activity.

These five young exhibitors challenge you to share their passion.

Tamar Yogev

Has a fascination with texture, color and patterns;  she uses clay techniques to express that.  Food, especially vegetables, has always played an essential role in her life.  That led her to investigate the relationship between vegetables, art and human life.  It resulted in The Veggie Collection, where she used discarded vegetables, natural colors and materials to highlight the nutritional value and health benefits of vegetables.  During the Corona period, Tamar felt the need to renew and further expand her collection.  With the same message in mind, she has shifted the focus from vegetables to recognizable kitchen utensils such as a garlic press or pasta machine.  With this she creates natural textures on her ceramic vases and objects and allows nature to come back in the interior

Noah Slot

In his paintings invites you to create your own story.  Over and over.  There is so much to see and experience that you will not get bored.  His work has sometimes been in his head for several months.  He likes to associate and fantasize about it and thus allows the story to take more and more shape.  Once the story is complete, he brings the images to life on paper.  With or without text, to reinforce.  Noah's work distinguishes itself in colour, association and meaning.  In everyday life he stands in front of the class.  Using art, he inspires future adults to color inside the box and outside the lines.

Nadine Touré

Has been painting for years and has an inner urge to create.  Her passion and love for working on canvas with acrylic paint, with different shapes and colors, started at a young age.  She loves abstract shapes and makes her work into a composition that is unique every time.  Each work of art has its own story, in which colors and shapes have a symbolic effect.  Her emotions are expressed from her deepest being and this gives her work an extra dimension.

She gets inspiration from nature and the impressions she gains from her surroundings.  Her work is sunny, gloomy, powerful and swinging.  The different shapes and repetitions are a recurring theme in her work.  She has her own style and her use of colors is very diverse, in harmony with each other and sometimes contradictory.

While working abstractly she jumps into the deep end and goes in search of new forms and use of color herself.  She enjoys combining, repetition and expressing her emotions.

Anne Will Lufting

Her work moves between painting and sculpture.  After pleating tarpaulin on a frame, two carefully chosen colors are applied, which are sharply separated from each other.  The capriciousness of the canvas challenges the perfection of the color areas and vice versa.  Inspired by fundamental painting, Anne-Will researches form, colour, size and material.  She has her own visual language, her own signature and goes for passion, for development and for the profession of an artist.

Anne-Will graduated cum laude from Academy Minerva in 2017.

In 2019 she won the Drentse Talentprijs Cultuur and in 2023 she received the CAMPIS Podiumprijs.

Marina Sulima

Born in Moldova, works and lives in Groningen.  She uses illustrations, animations and film images to conjure up stories of the world that seems to have gone a little crazy.  For example, she made a series of illustrations of speculative creatures related to the changes of our climate and the possible ways of adaptation.  From a creative and absurd logic, she gives her own signature to the developments in this slightly crazy world.
