Susanne Luurs (1994) explores the soil and what lives on it. For her residency at Into Nature, she researched the landscapes around Borger-Odoorn. The environment served as inspiration to create a special experience, in which participants were guided during a walk by Futuristic Nomad, named Zaza from the year 2173
Opening: Friday 8 March at 19.00
Saturday & Sunday: 10.00 – 18.00
The aim of the performance was to explore the landscape together with people from the year 2023 and ask questions about why people live the way they do and about the future of the landscape. Conversations were held in the landscape about human behaviour and its impact on the earth. What is the relationship between man and nature, both in the past and in the future.
Students from Academie Minerva took part in the performance and respond to the experience in the landscape with their own work. This can be seen during the exhibition in WEP, which is curated by Rosanne Bos. During the residency, she did an internship with Susanne and invites her fellow students from the Fine Art and Design in Education programme to exhibit together.
Participating students are: Jaron Smedes van den Berg, Evanne Stiekema, Djordi Komrij, Yasmin Hasan, Julia Veenstra, Meerle Burg, Nadine Bolhuis and Clarion van Zanten.
