Guided Tour Downtown Groningen During Open Monument Day 2025
About this activity.
During Open Monument Day, we are organizing a guided tour through Groningen's city center on Saturday, September 13th, at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
During this 1.5-hour tour, an experienced Kunstpunt guide will take you past both well-known and lesser-known monuments in Groningen's city center. Both older and more recent monuments will be featured, each with a unique story. You'll discover, among other things, the influence of the Amsterdam School on Groningen's urban development and the important role Willem Valk played as Groningen's city sculptor.
