Anne Geene is making an exhibition about 'Gronings gras' (grass from Groningen) in Block C and in ARTisBOOK, with a large work about the grass from the Noorderplantsoen, a piece of Euroborg, grass from well-known Groningen residents and much more grass. Bring a tuft of grass from your own street for the Big Groningen Grass Book.

Especially for visitors to the exhibition, there is also the opportunity to score their own piece of Noorderplantsoen! Grasveld #3 Noorderplantsoen Groningen, now on display in Block C, will be divided into pieces after the exhibition and each sod will be signed. In addition, you can buy a cyanotype with grass from one of the streets and corridors of the center of Groningen. The cyanotypes can be seen in ARTisBOOK (ground floor Block C).
Live improvisation Sigutė Žurauskaitė
April 15 is the last day of Anne Geene's exhibition GRONINGS GRAS. To conclude this special exhibition, Sigutė Žurauskaitė will improvise on the work Grasveld #3 Noorderplantsoen Groningen. This work by Geene approaches Sigutė Žurauskaitė as a visual score. During the performance, we may be able to hear what we see.
Sigutė Žurauskaitė is a choral conductor and composer from Lithuania. She studied NAIP (New Audiences and Innovative Practise) at the Prince Claus Conservatory of Music where she graduated as Master of Music. She is committed to promoting traditional music. In her improvisations, she uses elements of Lithuanian folk music.

Initiatiefnemers Marinus Augustijn en Agnes Scholte organiseren elk jaar 5 solo-exposities. Liefde en enthousiasme voor het werk vormen de belangrijkste selectiecriteria. Elke expositie wordt begeleid door een poster ontworpen en uitgevoerd door Hansje van Halem of Michiel Schuurman. De kunstruimte is gevestigd in het centrum van Groningen in een mooie, stille ruimte aan de achterzijde van een oud ijspakhuis.
