Food Processors
Food production and processing is a social, sometimes scientific event that involves more than hunger and thirst alone. Six artists are studying the transformation processes involved. What are the ecological, energetic and social consequences and can alternative cycles be devised?

Nicolas Rotta gives shape to a taste evolution in his 'Flavor bar' in which the selective power is the choice of the visitor. It ends with an ultimate taste.

Olivier Arts investigates the calorie conversion with 'Fat For Free' and establishes a direct link between consuming and burning. His 'fries scenery' workout space is activated by training and eating competitions.

Lily Dollner sketches a series of hypothetical performative installations with Extestines.
In the Urination System, the body functions like a pipeline, each stage of the short cycle is saturated. With Viscera she investigates the spatial consequences if the universe ends up in a salmon turned inside out!

In his stop motion film studio at SIGN, Alex Murphy imagines how 'Oz the Bee', an outcast male honeybee, can survive in the modern world of fast food, supermarkets and industrial farming.

With 'TILING up, stuffing down' Diego Virgen presents everyone with a soft dilemma: tile a wall that leads back to the butchery past of the SIGN space. Or touch, lick, taste and eat the sweet marshmallow tiles!

Antoine Guay represents the collective and manual production process of olive oil. With the aim of sharing this together in its social context, reflected in the 'act of bottling'. Outward line is his Trojan Horse; a mobile social guide with bread as a means of payment.
