Expressionist landscape: from sketch to painting

About this activity.

Learn to observe the interplay of light and shadow in a landscape. During this workshop, Marianne Brouwer will teach you how to capture a landscape in an expressionist style.

In the Art Centre’s studio, you will first create a sketch, focusing on light and shadow. You will then work with paint on a larger canvas to bring the landscape to life.

Marianne Brouwer graduated from the Minerva Academy and, alongside her work as an artist, gives courses and lessons at Vrijdag in Groningen.

Please note! The Kunstcentrum does not sell lunch. So please bring your own packed lunch. Admission to the exhibition, drinks and a treat with your coffee are included.
