About this activity.

Nature, landscape, and architecture are central themes in her paintings, particularly the fusion of these elements. Schapals combines organic, natural forms with man-made graphic structures. In this encounter between nature and architecture, transience ultimately always seems to work in nature's favor.

At first glance, her works depict a recognizable reality, but upon closer inspection, subtle shifts emerge that evoke a sense of confusion and mysticism. That typical Schapals atmosphere hangs like a veil over each painting.
