Jute, plastic, and what remains.
About this activity.
Jute, plastic, and what remains. | May 2-24 | Gallery Gewaagd
An exhibition about value, transience, and texture by the FiL Art Collective at (formerly) Gewaagd, Gallery in Hornhuizen (the Netherlands).
Art collective FiL are Flos Pol, Ina Fekken and Lea Laarakker
Flos explores the beauty of contrast, a dialogue between honest, natural jute and the colorful, cheap plastics of our throwaway culture.
Ina explores the diversity of sustainable packaging materials, with jute and paper playing the leading roles. A jute performance is in the works.
Léa is an authority on silk. She takes on the challenge of creating an artistic image with jute and silk materials.
You are welcome at the opening: Friday, May 1, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
