About this activity.

Joyce Eijkhout is a teacher of the Vak- en Masteropleiding of the Classical Academy in Groningen and has made a selection of artists who are or were associated with the Academy. The selection is based on the idiosyncratic and autonomous character of the artists and their works. Participating artists are Maarten Dalstra, Pauline Jonker and Suze Osseman. 

Thus Dalstra can be interpreted as a realistic expressionist, Ossemans creates a fairytale world and Jonker creates an almost poetic representation of a dream world with strong contracts between light and dark. Eijkhout herself can be seen with a number of works from her new series "New Gold Dream. That this is also the title of the exhibition is no coincidence; all the artists are at the beginning of a new career as visual artists after completing their education.
