Exhibition 'Small but sweet'

About this activity.

June 7th to August 30th, the Stadsgalerie, Groningen

Tree branches have disappeared into clouds of green, the roadsides are starting to bloom, and columbines, alliums, and irises are shining in the gardens. The upcoming exhibition reflects the richness of this season.

Our artists show how beautiful the little things around us are, but also how beautiful greatness can be in miniature. Subjects range from seascapes and cityscapes to still lifes and animal portraits. Styles vary from loose brushstrokes to fine lines, and palettes from explosive to austere. All of this in a small format.

This summer, we are showcasing paintings by:

Peter Durieux, Esther Leuvenink, Flip Gaasendam, Hinke Posthuma, Edwin Grissen, Joost Doornik, Christiaan Afman, Barbara van Haaften, Keimpe van der Kooi, Rutger Hiemstra, Milan Smidt, and Magna Postma.

Work by the following artists will also be on display:

Jannes Koetsier, Annemarie de Groot, Anna Maria Vargiu, Roelie Douw, Marein Konijn, and Manuel Remerie.

Opening: Sunday, June 7th at 4:00 PM – come by, raise a glass with us, and be inspired!
