DIZOT: Union, An (Un)Holy Matrimony

About this activity.

It’s been a while. We were busy being in love, getting engaged, and planning our wedding… And here it is, on Friday the 13th, we, DIHAN and ZOT, are getting married! 

You are all cordially invited to witness this (un)holy matrimony at gallery Block C. 

The wedding ceremony will include all the classic rituals, from the preacher and holy blood-drinking to drunk dancing and plate-smashing.

Living in times of great uncertainty, our union is about refusing to survive alone. In a time of collapsing funding, cultural amnesia, and polite neutrality, we have chosen to commit, binding resources, bodies, sounds, and belief in art. 

Love is our political strategy.

The wedding ceremony will be done by Feije Duim and Henry Alles.

The setting is conceived as an installation by artist Marijke Klamer.
