De Nieuwe Editie at Noorderzon 2025

It’s happening. We’re thrilled to announce that De Nieuwe Editie will open a temporary pop-up gallery and restaurant at Noorderzon this summer. During one of our favorite festivals of the year, we’re proud to offer a platform to ten emerging artists based in Groningen.

Buy art on site
Our nomad gallery is always on the move. You may have spotted us before at the Minerva Graduation Show or ESNS. This time, we’re using the Noorderplantsoen as our canvas. What’s fixed sometimes needs to move. From empty buildings to festivals to backyards you’ve never seen before. At Noorderzon, you’ll discover work by up-and-coming artists, dive into their stories and creative processes — and who knows, maybe this is where your art collection begins.

A painting, a unique scarf, or a bold brooch? At De Nieuwe Editie, you can explore and purchase work by emerging artists.

The auction
To top it all off, we’re hosting an art auction on Sunday 24 August at 17:30. Expect something different from your average auction — complete with surprising twists and turns. Bid on original pieces by the participating artists and maybe walk away with a one-of-a-kind work.
