BLOOM!

About this activity.

BLOOM! is a burst of color. Plants and flowers often play a leading role in the work of artist Gabrielle Kroese (Rotterdam, 1963). Her most recent work is a celebration of life and the prospect of the end of the pandemic. Abstract color areas and figurative images are combined. Do they reinforce and influence each other? Or do they irritate? Fascinated by our selective way of looking, Gabrielle disrupts the image. Your gaze is slowed down. She calls this 'slow watching'. So there is plenty to discover at home and that is why almost all works are for sale and/or borrow in our Art Library.

Gabrielle Kroese is the fifth Northern artist in the Atelier Collection Solo Series to present work from her oeuvre in the Art Library of Kunstpunt Groningen. You see BLOOM! from 6 August to 18 September in Kunstpunt.
