Bernard Divendal – ‘Merkwaardige tekeningen’ ('Remarkable Drawings')

About this activity.

In one of the corridors (A1, the 'yellow corridor') in the Beatrixoord rehabilitation center in Haren, there are works on paper that artist Bernard Divendal made in the 1990s. They are light-magical, semi-realistic or abstracted representations, in which landscapes and – not always clearly definable – objects play a role. Lightness and grimness alternate. At the time, all drawings started with contours in graphite marker and were then colored with watercolor paint.

The exhibition can be visited during the day until May 31, 2024, also for non-convalescents.
