Piss Soap is a soap made entirely from human waste streams. Using three local waste products (wood ash, used cooking oil, and human urine), it shows a different, conscious way of dealing with waste and asks you to think twice before you flush. It challenges how we look at discarded materials and how we perceive disgust in Western culture.
As an interactive project, Piss Soap collects urine from audience members in exchange for a bar of soap. Visitors are invited to share ideas, actively take part in the process, and experience ecodeviant practices up close.

about
Arthur Guilleminot is an ecodeviant artist who works with design, performance, fashion, and visual art to imagine new, regenerative futures. He uses bold images and vulnerable stories to question how we deal with change and crisis.
During his Planetary Poetics Master’s studies, he researched the links between environmentalism and patriarchy, and how both people and ecosystems are shaped by patriarchal systems. He looks at pollution as the “excess” of capitalism, and asks how this excess could instead become a resource for building queer communities and connections with the more-than-human world.
His work challenges racist, queerphobic, and misogynistic views of ecological collapse. By doing so, he opens up space for other visions that might help us care for our shared world in new ways.
