Event on fair pay in the cultural sector | Platform ACCT at the Puddingfabriek | 27 October

About this activity.

This autumn, we’re taking our annual Platform ACCT event on current labour market developments ‘on tour’. We’ll be presenting a varied afternoon programme on fair pay in the cultural and creative sector. We’ll be kicking off in Groningen on 27 October.

We’ll kick off the afternoon with an introduction and a panel discussion on fair pay, at both national and regional levels. What challenges do policymakers, clients and workers in our sector face? What is needed to ensure fair pay is properly organised? And above all: how can we work together to take concrete steps forward?

Afterwards, we’ll get to work together in a smaller setting. We’ll share the outcomes of two sector-specific roundtable discussions from our fairPACCT programme. And we’ll invite you to discuss how the fair pay tools we’ve developed relate to your day-to-day work. Be inspired by colleagues from other disciplines, broaden your perspective and join in.

We’ll round off the afternoon together with a networking drinks reception.

After Groningen, we’ll be visiting Maastricht (5 November) and Utrecht (10 November). Do come along!

Plenary opening with Harmen van der Hoek, business director at NITE and Club Guy & Roni

Panel discussion featuring, amongst others, Lieselot Van Damme, director of Kunstpunt Groningen, and Els van den Berg, Province of Groningen

Afternoon sessions featuring practical examples from the pop music scene, including Peter Kwint (chair of the Fair Pop Fonds) and Áslaug Vigfúsdóttir (singer-songwriter, producer and singing teacher). And cultural education and amateur arts, featuring Pim Luiten (managing director of Tumult) and Karin Boelhouwer (Kunstenbond), amongst others.
