Artist Talk – special edition with Heleen Blanken

The WERC art collective presents a special edition of the Artist Talks featuring artist Heleen Blanken. For this evening, WERC is swapping its usual studio for the upper auditorium of the Grand Theatre Groningen. As well as the talk, you can also experience Heleen’s installation Habitat.

During this Artist Talk, WERC will delve into the work of Heleen Blanken, offering visitors an insight into her artistic practice.

Heleen Blanken’s work lies at the intersection of nature, technology and perception. Through installations, kinetic sculptures, generative video environments and spatial scenography, she explores how technology and nature seem to be increasingly merging. Her installations invite visitors to engage with possible future worlds, in which technology, nature and human perception are constantly intertwined.

WERC’s Artist Talks are a series of inspiring conversations with artists who are pushing the boundaries of new media art.
