Reynaert Vosveld is a filmmaker and visual artist from Groningen. In his work, Reynaert explores the intersections between the personal and the societal by focusing on emotion and its relationship to social engagement.

Reynaert works with film and animation, but also expresses himself through printmaking, expressive paintings, and installations. In the illustrated collection 'Wij Zijn de Stad' (We Are the City), he provides a platform for diverse poetic approaches to the city by thirteen international residents of Groningen. The essay 'De Slaap van de Rede' (The Sleep of Reason) and the accompanying giclée of a painted reproduction (referencing Goya) served as the starting point for Reynaert's short film of the same name from 2021.
