Lost in Pictura
About this activity.
Carte Blanche for young artists in Pictura
Summer closure? Pictura skips it this year.
Pictura gives two young professional artists this sommer the chance to realise a common project called Lost.
The project has a focus on vulnerability and cooperation.
Two sounds that should be heard more in our society, according to Sterre van Bommel en Fleur Versleijen. They both graduated from Academie Minerva in 2024.
The works the two artists make is the embodiment of this vision.
At the exhibition we see the result of bringing together two methods of working and learning to trust each other, listen and give space to the other.
With "Lost' van Bommel and Versleien want the spectator to be inspired to be softer and more understanding towards others.
To give more space to diversity and its beauty.
The spectator is invited to observe with an open mind.
What memories, events and feelings come up? What can we learn from that?
Extra: in one of the rooms in Pictura is a mini exhibition with works from Annabel Adema, Josefien Adema en Fleur Eijckelhof. They worked on the theme vulnerability.
There will be an artshop where you can buy a diversity of works.

Pictura.
